The Institute currently offers a Two Year D.El.Ed Course to both prospective pre-service teachers and untrained in-service teachers. The D.El.Ed programme aims at preparing teachers to continuously assess and improve their professional practice as teachers through critical reflection, enabling them to understand that teaching is embedded in the social context of the learners and engaging them with context and subject matter to be taught in schools after completion of the course. The student-teachers will also be acquainted with the modes of inquiry and epistemological frameworks of their subjects, familiarized with how children learn so that they can develop and use teaching strategies that are responsive to the learning needs of all their learners in diverse and plural settings of elementary classrooms. Besides the Two Year D.El.Ed Course, the institute also conducts different short term training courses for In-service teachers and conducts community based programmes.

 

ELIGIBILITY TO UNDERGO D.EL.ED 2(TWO) YEAR COURSE:

Candidates having 10+2 with 45% are eligible to apply for the course.
Interview is conducted for the selection of candidate.
Intake capacity is 50 (each batch)
