The Faculty of DIET Chiechama conducts different short- term training and workshop on a regular basis as well as whenever the need arises and depending on the availability  of  the  fund. Some of the training and workshop conducted were; Head teachers Programme, community awareness programme on education, Content enrichment programme  on  four  core subject areas, CCE, constructivist Approach etc.

The Faculty of DIET Chiechama has undertaken at least 15 researches works relating to elementary education from 2001 till 2017. Currently the faculty is undertaking 2(two) action research related to teacher education which is to be completed by November 2019.

In addition to research works the institute has been documenting various Folk Tales, Legends and Folk Songs through field based projects and has produced audio visuals of creative drama and music.
